Remote work ريتريت: a working week with the ocean attached

This format is judged by whether Thursday's client call went out cleanly, not by how many waves you caught. The surf is planned around the calendar — never the other way round.

What the remote work week protects

How a day actually runs

  1. 06:45

Dawn session if the forecast is worth it. The board goes back on the rack by 08:30 either way.

  2. 09:00

First deep-work block. Fibre plus a 4G/5G fallback, so a call at 09:00 is a call at 09:00.

  3. 13:00

Lunch and the long flat window — Europe is still at its desk, you are not.

  4. 17:00

Second surf or a walk, depending on the wind and on what the day did to you.

  5. 20:00

Dinner. Slack is closed by then, and nobody here pretends otherwise.

Where a working week is based

Tamraght is the practical default: quieter nights, better sleep and a short drive to the beach breaks. Taghazout village has more cafes and more energy but is harder to work from at nine in the morning. Agadir has the fastest connection of the three, at the cost of the dawn session.

Remote work questions

What happens if the internet drops during a call?

You switch to the eSIM hotspot, which is why it is part of the setup rather than an afterthought. Village fibre does go down, usually briefly, and a mobile fallback turns a crisis into a thirty-second pause.

Can I extend to a month?

Yes, and most people who try a week end up asking. Monthly stays change the logic: kitchen, laundry, a supermarket run and a predictable commute matter more than they do over seven nights.
