Editorial policy

How we decide what goes on taghazout.io, where the facts come from, how partner links are handled and how to get a mistake fixed.

What we publish

Surf spot guides, live surf forecasts, destination and stay guides for Taghazout, Tamraght, Aourir, Imsouane and Agadir, arrival and transport guides, and the pages where you request our own surf stays, lessons and activities. Everything is published in ten languages.

Where the facts come from

Forecast figures come from marine and weather data feeds: modelled waves, wind and sea level from Open-Meteo, and tide times and heights computed from the EOT20 tide model (DGFI-TUM), each labelled on the forecast pages. Travel times, seasons and spot details come from our local knowledge of the coast and are updated when they change.

Prices and availability

Prices for our own stays and activities are read live from the same catalogue that prepares your quote, never typed into the text. Flight fares and hotel offers from partners come from their own feeds, and cached flight fares show the date they were checked. We do not publish invented ratings, reviews, discounts or availability: when something has to be confirmed, the page says we check it and come back to you.

Photos

Photos illustrate places, surf spots and types of service. Many are licensed stock images, credited on the photo credits page. They are not a promise of a specific room, vehicle or view: your reviewed quote describes what you actually book.

Partner links, ads and independence

Our own services come first. Where a partner can help better — flights, some hotels, activities, insurance — the page links to them and says so in the text, and we may earn a commission. Some guide pages may also show Google ads. Neither changes what a guide or a forecast says.

Updates and corrections

Pages are reviewed and updated when routes, prices, forecast sources, seasons or the booking flow change. If you spot something wrong or out of date, write to [email protected] with the page address; factual errors are corrected on the page.

Languages

Every page exists in English, French, German, Polish, Arabic, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Portuguese and Italian. If a translation reads unclearly, tell us and we will fix the wording.
