Almost nowhere here takes a booking from a stranger — no online form, and a foreign number often goes unanswered. A local calling in Darija is a different conversation, and that is the whole of what we do. It works across Taghazout, Tamraght, Aourir, Agadir centre and the hotel restaurants, which is where you go for a late kitchen, a wider range of cuisines or a proper dining room. Turning up does not work — the restaurants are small and the good ones fill. Two things usually do: a table arranged in advance somewhere that can genuinely seat you, or a cook coming to your camp or riad. Tell us the date, the number and any dietary needs. Larger groups need a couple of days’ notice, more over Christmas and New Year.

Taghazout is quieter than Agadir, but it is not bar-free. Kitchen Club publicly lists beer, wine and cocktails in the village.
