What to know before you steam
The ritual itself
Hot steam room, Moroccan black soap (beldi), then a kessa-glove scrub that takes off a week of salt, sunscreen and wetsuit. Finish with mint tea. Plan 30–60 minutes.
After surf days
Heat opens up shoulders and back after paddling; the scrub deals with wetsuit rash and salt skin. Most guests book it mid-week or on the last evening.
The local option
Every Moroccan village has a public hammam — entry is roughly 10–20 MAD, a scrub from a local attendant roughly 50–100 MAD more, sessions are gender-separated and you bring your own soap and glove. Ours is the private spa version; the public one is the cultural deep-end, and both are worth doing.

What is a Moroccan hammam?
A steam-bath ritual: you warm up in a hot room, get covered in beldi black soap, then scrubbed with a kessa glove that exfoliates dead skin, and rinse. In a spa setting it ends with tea and usually pairs with a massage.
How much does a hammam cost in Taghazout?
With us: hammam + scrub from €23, a full hammam + massage combination €62 per person — requested online, confirmed by a human. A local public hammam costs roughly 10–20 MAD entry plus 50–100 MAD for an attendant scrub; it is gender-separated and you bring your own kit.
Is a hammam good after surfing?
It is the classic pairing: heat loosens paddling shoulders, the scrub resets salt-dried skin, and it fills the afternoon after a morning session. Book a slot a day ahead so it lands after your surf, not before.
Do you do facials, nails and waxing too?
Yes — the full menu above is the spa menu, not a surf-only shortlist. Facials run 60 to 75 minutes, manicure and pedicure are 30 and 45 minutes, and waxing is priced by zone from a 10-minute lip to full legs.
Can we book as a couple?
Yes. The couple escape suite is a private hammam room with simultaneous massage for two guests, and its price on the menu covers both of you. Any other treatment can be booked twice in the same slot if the room is free — tell us in the request and we check it.
Can you pick us up from Taghazout, Tamraght or Agadir?
Yes. Pick-up and drop-off is one line on the quote, once per booking: €7.5 from Taghazout or Tamraght, €20 from Agadir.
How does booking work?
You add treatments to your plan and send the request. We check the slot with the spa and come back to you. Activities reserve with a 50% deposit online and the balance is paid on the day — no card is charged before a person has confirmed the time.
What do I bring, and what do I wear?
For our spa sessions: swimwear bottoms; towels, black soap, kessa glove, argan oil and tea are provided. For a public hammam: bring flip-flops, black soap, a kessa glove and a change of clothes — everything sells for a few dirhams at any village shop.
Can I ask for a male or female practitioner?
Yes. The spa works with both male and female practitioners. Say which you prefer in the request and we book that slot; if that person is already taken, we tell you before anything is paid.
How is it different from a spa in Agadir?
Where it is and who works on you. Ours sits near Taghazout, facing the ocean, and the treatments are given by trained massage professionals — male or female, as you prefer. If you are staying in Agadir we pick you up and drop you back.
