Which Agadir flights are covered?
Any flight departing an EU or EEA airport, on any airline — Marseille → Agadir on Air Arabia Maroc counts. The return leg only counts if the operating carrier is an EU airline: Ryanair, Transavia France, Wizz Air Malta, Condor, Eurowings, TUI fly, LOT and Lauda Europe qualify; Royal Air Maroc and Air Arabia Maroc do not.
How much is an Agadir delay worth?
Every Agadir–Europe route on this site is between about 1,750 km (Toulouse) and 3,500 km (Gdańsk), which is the 1,500–3,500 km band: €400 per passenger when you arrive three or more hours late. Flights to and from the UK follow UK261 instead, at £350 for the same band.
How late does the flight have to be?
Three hours or more, measured when the doors open at your destination — not when you took off. A long departure delay that still lands you within three hours pays nothing. Cancellations count when the airline told you less than 14 days ahead.
What if the delay was weather?
Extraordinary circumstances — weather, air-traffic control, third-party strikes, security incidents — remove the compensation, but not the airline’s duty to feed you, house you overnight and either reroute or refund you. Ordinary technical faults are usually not extraordinary.
Can I claim myself instead?
Yes, and it costs nothing. Write to the airline with your booking reference, flight number and date. A claim service is worth using when the airline refuses, stops replying or the case has to be escalated — they take a percentage of whatever they recover, so weigh that against the effort. Some airlines also ask you to claim directly with them first, so check their terms.
What should I keep?
Boarding passes, the booking confirmation and anything the airline put in writing about the delay or cancellation. Photograph the departure board. Time limits depend on which country’s courts would hear the claim and run from roughly two to six years, so start early while the evidence is easy to produce.
