The sunset hour
The village faces west, so sunset is the main event: rooftops and café terraces fill from about an hour before dark, and the point gets its glassy evening session below.
Find a sunset dinnerSunset dinners, a few restaurant bars, and quieter nights before the surf. For a club evening, look to Taghazout Bay or Agadir. Choose your area, then sort the table and the ride home.

Find a sunset dinnerDinner, mint tea and time with friends on a terrace. Ask your accommodation about music or shared dinners on your dates; the village is usually a quieter base than Agadir.
Explore the food guideLook at Taghazout Bay for hotel bars and scheduled club events, or Agadir for more late-night options. Check the programme and arrange your return before leaving.

Sunset on a rooftop, dinner on a terrace, then an early night before the surf: that is an evening in the village. A few restaurants serve drinks and there is no bar street. What is served, and where bottles are sold, is in the alcohol section just below.
A separate resort a few kilometres south of the village, and where the hotel bars are. Every name here is on the hotel’s own website.
A listing is not a party every night: check the programme and whether non-residents are admitted.
Resorts in Taghazout BayPlan around surf-camp dinners, rooftops and cafés. Ask your accommodation about its evening programme and drinks policy; do not assume every camp runs public events or allows outside drinks.
Tamraght guideThe calmest way to have a drink out. The marina’s restaurants and lounges run late and turn into evening places without ever becoming clubs, and the walk around the water is pleasant in a way the beach promenade is not. If you want one civilised drink and a taxi home before midnight, this is the trip to make.
The late hours are in Agadir, about 20 km south. Club names change from one season to the next, so this page names only what a hotel publishes itself: the Riu Tikida Beach lists an on-site nightclub, and the Sofitel Agadir Royal Bay lists its Soul Bar and a pool lounge, Voile Blanche. Pick a specific event, then confirm entry, opening times and the way back before setting off. An old club list is not a booking confirmation.
Agadir guideTaghazout is quieter than Agadir, but it is not dry. In the village, Kitchen Club lists beers, wines and cocktails and says it is open to the public every day from 12:00 to 23:00; Munga’s Kitchen lists beer and wine. Both are restaurants first: check the venue for current service, and do not expect a bar street.
Buying a bottle is not the same as ordering a drink. Alcohol for private use is sold in licensed shops: look for them in Agadir and check their hours, and any Ramadan closure, with the shop itself. Do not count on an evening shopping stop in the village. And keep it indoors: the UK and Canadian travel advisories both say that drinking in the street, or anywhere other than a licensed restaurant, bar or hotel, is illegal in Morocco.
During Ramadan, evenings actually get livelier after iftar — cafés fill late — but alcohol availability tightens further and some Agadir venues close for the month. Respect the rhythm and the village gives its best.
Ask a local on WhatsAppYes, there are restaurant bars in the village, including Kitchen Club. Taghazout Bay has hotel bars and Pulse; Agadir offers more late-night choices. Check the programme and visitor access for your date.
You can order it in the village restaurants that serve it, such as Kitchen Club. Bottles are sold in licensed shops, which means a trip to Agadir: check the shop’s hours first. Drinking in the street is illegal in Morocco, so it stays indoors.
Sunset on a rooftop, dinner, mint tea, beach bonfire guitars when someone brings one, and early sleep — the good waves are at dawn. It is a village that rewards the morning person.
It depends what you came for. Surfers call the quiet the whole point. If your trip needs live music and late bars every night, base yourself in Agadir and day-trip to the surf, or split the week between the two — or compare Essaouira, which has more evening culture.
