Taghazout.io reads surf choice from stay location, level, road time, crowd risk and forecast link across Agadir, Anza, Aourir/Banana Village, Tamraght, Taghazout and Imsouane. The aim is to help a traveller choose the safest useful move before booking a camp, transfer or guided session.

Stay base fit

Agadir works best for first lessons, airport timing and family comfort; Anza can be a city-side progression check; Tamraght/Aourir are the main progression belt; Taghazout is for point checks; Imsouane is a separate planned route, not a free add-on from the south.

Tide / wind read

Taghazout’s points need clean offshore wind and an entry and exit you are sure of — they are unforgiving on a cross-shore day. Tamraght and Aourir are the progression strip: sand bottom, more forgiving tide window, still worth driving to. Agadir stays the comfort fallback when the north is blown out, and Imsouane is planned as its own route, not squeezed into a morning.

Can I learn to surf in Taghazout if I have never surfed?

Yes — this coast is one of the easier places in Morocco to start. Croco is the dedicated learning beach, Panorama and Banana Point are soft, forgiving points, and Imsouane offers a long mellow bay. Lessons move to whichever of them is calmest on the day instead of forcing one spot.

How much does a surf lesson cost?

A half day is €30 per surfer and a full day is €45 per surfer, with partner instructors and small groups. Lesson-only requests confirm with a 50% deposit once we have confirmed your slot — nothing is charged when you send the request — and the balance is settled on the day.

Do I need to bring a board or a wetsuit?

No. Boards and wetsuits come with the lesson. From December a 4/3 wetsuit is the norm here and it is lighter through the warmer months. Bring sun protection, water and something dry to change into.

How many days does it take to stand up?

Most people stand on a broken wave within the first session or two. Turning that into catching waves unassisted usually takes a block of three to five consecutive days, which is why beginner weeks are built around consecutive surf days rather than one-off lessons.
