What this guide clarifies
Plan the first water session around level, equipment, forecast, meeting point and recovery so the week starts cleanly.
Best fit
- First session when you want the trip to feel clear before arrival.
- Mixed groups when different travelers need different levels of help.
- First visits when Taghazout, Tamraght and Agadir are still unfamiliar.
Useful follow-ups

Arrival rhythm, room logic, food notes and luggage handling reduce hesitation when they stay visible early.

What to open next
What the first day actually looks like
Nobody tells you this part, so here it is in order. None of it is dramatic, and that is the point.
- 09:00Board and wetsuit fitting on the terrace. You get a soft-top sized to your weight, not to your ego. Expect the wetsuit to feel two sizes too small; that is correct.
- 09:30Fifteen minutes on the sand: where the rip is today, which way to fall, how to hold the board so it does not hit you, and what "priority" means before it matters.
- 10:00Whitewater. Waist deep, feet on the bottom, coach beside you. Most people stand on the board inside the first forty minutes and it does not feel like an achievement until later.
- 11:30Out of the water, and you will be more tired than the clock says. Paddling uses muscles you have not asked anything of in years.
- 12:30Lunch, then a genuinely empty afternoon. Do not book anything for it. Shoulder fatigue on day two is the single biggest thing that slows a beginner week.
- 16:30Optional second session if the wind stayed off. On a first day the coach will usually say no, and they are right.
What to bring: reef-safe sunscreen you have already tested on your face, a spare t-shirt for the drive back, and no expectations about photographs.
