Agadir is not only a fallback. For late arrivals, mixed groups, families and first surf lessons, starting from the city can remove friction before the coast route becomes more ambitious.
The airport is south of Agadir, while the surf belt runs north toward Anza, Aourir, Tamraght and Taghazout. On a short stay, a calmer arrival night can protect the first proper surf decision instead of forcing a tired transfer and rushed check-in.
Use Agadir when the group includes first-timers, children, non-surfers or anyone arriving late. It keeps restaurants, shops and transport simple, then lets the surf app choose the right coast move in the morning.
Do not sell Agadir as the same feeling as Taghazout village. It is a comfort and logistics location, not the full surf-village atmosphere. For a pointbreak-focused trip, move north once the plan is clear.
