What April actually feels like

April is the crossover month. The pointbreaks still fire a few times, but the reliable surf moves to the beach breaks and to Imsouane, and the trip stops being swell-led. Days are long, rain almost disappears, and the inland valleys are green enough to justify a full day away from the water. It is the easiest month to bring a mixed group where not everyone surfs.

How April feels

A balanced coastal month: more light, easier afternoons and enough surf potential for a mixed week without forcing every day around swell.

April questions

Can beginners and advanced surfers both get good days in April?

Yes, and that is April's real argument. Beginners get consistent waist-high beach break at Tamraght and Devil's Rock almost every day, while advanced surfers still get two or three point days a fortnight. Nobody has to wait out the whole week.

Is April too windy for a surf trip?

It is windier than March but not a write-off. The pattern is the same: clean until late morning, onshore in the afternoon. Book accommodation close to the water so a 7 a.m. session costs you ten minutes, not an hour of driving.

Does Easter make April expensive in Taghazout?

Accommodation tightens for the Easter fortnight but our package price does not change — it is the same all year, except every night from 25 December to 15 January, which costs up to 10% more. The practical cost of Easter is availability, so book the room shape you need earlier than you would in May.

Is April a good month for Taghazout?

Yes, if its season profile matches your priority: surf, beach comfort, family time, remote work or a slower coastal week.

Should I choose accommodation before checking the forecast?

Choose the stay location for the week first, then use the forecast to shape each surf or activity day.

Do I need a live forecast after choosing the month?

Yes. The month helps with the travel window; the forecast decides the daily surf and activity plan.

How much does a Taghazout stay cost?

For 7 nights per person in a standard shared room: surf from €545, yoga and surf from €515, cowork and stay from €456. Cowork for 28 nights starts at €1824. Prices adapt to the requested nights and room category. Your request is subject to review. We check availability and confirm your reservation before enabling deposit payment. Nothing is charged when you send this request.
