What December actually feels like

December splits into two months. Up to about the 18th it is quiet, cheap and already delivering proper winter swell — arguably the best value week of the year. From the 20th the village fills and the line-ups at Anchor and Panorama get genuinely crowded. Water is around 19 °C and falling, days are the shortest of the year, and rain peaks at about six days.

December questions

Is mid-December a good time to go to Taghazout?

It is one of the best-value windows of the year. The winter swell pattern is already running, our prices stay standard until 24 December, and the holiday crowd has not arrived. A week starting around 8–15 December is the sweet spot.

How much busier is Christmas week in Taghazout?

Substantially. Every guesthouse in the village runs full and the pointbreaks pick up a large crowd of visiting surfers. If you are travelling over the holidays, plan dawn sessions and use Tamri or Imsouane on the busiest days.

Exactly which dates carry the holiday rate?

Every night from 25 December to 15 January costs up to 10% more; the nights before and after are at the standard rate. A stay that crosses the date pays the extra only on its nights inside the window: a week from 21 December has four standard nights and three at +10%.

Is December a good month for Taghazout?

Yes, if its season profile matches your priority: surf, beach comfort, family time, remote work or a slower coastal week.

Should I choose accommodation before checking the forecast?

Choose the stay location for the week first, then use the forecast to shape each surf or activity day.

Do I need a live forecast after choosing the month?

Yes. The month helps with the travel window; the forecast decides the daily surf and activity plan.

How much does a Taghazout stay cost?

For 7 nights per person in a standard shared room: surf from €545, yoga and surf from €515, cowork and stay from €456. Cowork for 28 nights starts at €1824. Prices adapt to the requested nights and room category. Your request is subject to review. We check availability and confirm your reservation before enabling deposit payment. Nothing is charged when you send this request.
