What October actually feels like

October is the best all-round month on this coast and the one experienced surfers keep returning to. Water is still 21 °C, air sits in the mid-twenties, and the North Atlantic is properly awake — Anchor Point and Killer Point work several times a month while the beach breaks stay usable for everyone else. Add three rain days at most, and it is hard to argue with.

How October feels

A comfortable reset window where warmth remains, crowds soften and surf energy starts to feel more useful again for mixed surf and stay weeks.

October questions

Why do people call October the best month in Taghazout?

Because it is the only month with both warm water and consistent groundswell. You can surf a 3/2 or even a shorty on a head-high point day, which does not happen in January and does not happen in July. Crowds are also below the winter peak.

Do I need a full wetsuit in October?

Early in the month a shorty is enough; by the last week most people are back in a 3/2. If you are travelling for a fortnight in late October, bring the 3/2 and treat the shorty as the optional extra.

Is October busy?

Busier in the water than in September, quieter on the beaches. The people arriving in October are surfers, so the line-ups at the points fill up while Agadir beach and the restaurants feel calm. Book point-adjacent accommodation early.

Is October a good month for Taghazout?

Yes, if its season profile matches your priority: surf, beach comfort, family time, remote work or a slower coastal week.

Should I choose accommodation before checking the forecast?

Choose the stay location for the week first, then use the forecast to shape each surf or activity day.

Do I need a live forecast after choosing the month?

Yes. The month helps with the travel window; the forecast decides the daily surf and activity plan.

How much does a Taghazout stay cost?

For 7 nights per person in a standard shared room: surf from €545, yoga and surf from €515, cowork and stay from €456. Cowork for 28 nights starts at €1824. Prices adapt to the requested nights and room category. Your request is subject to review. We check availability and confirm your reservation before enabling deposit payment. Nothing is charged when you send this request.
