Choose the location that makes the week easier

The best location is not only the prettiest village. It depends on arrival time, room comfort, surf rhythm, walking options, transport and how tired the group will be.

Frequently asked questions

Should I stay in Taghazout, Tamraght or Agadir?

Taghazout suits surfers who want spots and cafés within walking distance, 45–60 minutes from the airport. Tamraght is calmer and pairs well with a yoga rhythm, 50–65 minutes. Agadir gives hotel comfort and the shortest transfer at 30–40 minutes. Imsouane is 2h15+ away and works better as a day trip than as a base.

Which base works best for a beginner?

Taghazout and Tamraght both put the beginner beaches within a short drive, and lessons move to whichever is calmest that day. Agadir also works if you want a hotel and a protected city beach, but it adds a drive to the main spots every morning.

Do I need a rental car?

Not if you stay in Taghazout or Tamraght and book surf days with transport included — both are walkable for food and cafés. A car earns its keep if you want to chase conditions along the coast or reach Imsouane and Tamri on your own schedule.

Where should I sleep if I land late at night?

Agadir, at 30–40 minutes from the airport, is the easiest first night. Moving up the coast the next morning costs very little and avoids a long transfer after a delayed flight.

How much does a surf week in Taghazout cost?

The all-inclusive Learn-to-Surf week at our partner camp is €353 for 5 nights or €494 for 7 nights — 5 surf-lesson days, 3 meals a day, yoga and the airport shuttle included. A yoga-surf week starts at €322 and a co-working surf week at €251 (5 nights). You reserve online with a 20% deposit and pay the balance at the camp: taghazout.io/build/
