What kind of wave is Panorama Point?
Panorama Point is a right-hand point break over sand with rock underneath. When it lines up, a ride at Panorama Point runs about 50 to 100 metres. Panorama Point needs a swell from W–NW (260°–325°) at 0.6–1.7 m and 8–14 s to switch on. The wind decides as much as the swell: Panorama Point holds its shape from the NE–SE sector (50°–135°) and goes ragged once it swings onshore. Panorama is where the Taghazout surf schools take their beginners, and the same bank turns into a crisp right-hander for everyone else once a northwest swell puts real size on it.

Panorama Point works best from low to mid tide. At low water Panorama Point runs fast and breaks into sections; as the tide fills in the same wave slows down and becomes the one beginners can actually make. You get into Panorama Point off the beach and walk out.

On a small, clean day yes, but with a caveat: Panorama Point breaks over sand with rock underneath, so a beginner belongs on the inside and nowhere near the top of the peak. With any size in it, Agadir Beach is the honest answer.
How cold is the water at Panorama Point, and what wetsuit do I need?
The sea off Panorama Point runs about 17–19 °C from December to March and 21–23 °C in late summer.
